We learned it in our first year. It's childsplay compared to other things I know.

You don't kill them and there's a counterspell for it, but yes. I was able to do it very early in my first year. Of course, I read ahead, but that's not really the point.

Well, yeah, Heal fixes it, but I'm not sure how you turn someone to fucking stone without it counting as killing them?
